Healing Garden
"Medical science is now confirming what the Adrian Dominican Sisters have always promoted," said Rod A. Davis, President. "When helping patients achieve good health or recover from illness or injury, you must do more than address physical concerns. The health of the mind and spirit are key to overall well being."
St. Rose Dominican Hospitals' Siena Campus Healing Garden reflects the primary elements of life - flowing water, sunlight, and plants. The three-quarter-acre Healing Garden was created with the vision and support of Lake Las Vegas Resort developer Ronald Boeddeker and his wife Kitty, who was formerly a nurse.
The heart of the Healing Garden is a rose-covered gazebo, designed by Lake Las Vegas Resort's architectural consultant Berry Berkus. The gazebo is a dome, 20 feet wide and 27 feet tall. It is made of dark green steel and was manufactured in Germany. The garden's landscape architect, Rae L. Price of Peridian Inc., has created many landscapes throughout our valley over the past 25 years, including Spanish Trails and Lake Las Vegas Resort. Like many other talented local experts who made the garden a reality, Price and Berkus donated their services to the project.
